6th Anniversary

I cannot believe we have been married for 6 years. It feels like yesterday that Dusty asked me out on our first date, 7 1/2 years ago!! For our anniversary this year, Dusty surprised me with a trip to an unknown destination for the weekend, and then for the rest of the week, we were spending it at the beach with my family. All I knew about our destination was that the weather was warm, comparable to the weather in Florida at the beach and we were flying. Once we got to our gate at the airport I saw where we were going- San Francisco, but that wasn't all. He also surprised me with a trip to Napa Valley (St. Helena) where we stayed in a B&B and went on a wine tour to several vineyards. We flew to San Fran, rented a 4 door Jeep Wrangler and drove into the city. We toured the city for about 2 hours- checking out the cable cars, eating Lobster Bisque at Fisherman's Wharf and visiting the seals at Pier 39. It was so cool!!! Once we got back in the Jeep, Dusty drove us over the Golden Gate Bridge and onto Muir Woods to see the Redwoods. Oh. My. Goodness! They were huge!!! It was incredible to see the biggest trees we've ever seen, all created by God's hands! From there, I drove the Jeep into Napa Valley. We had the best dinner at an Italian restuarant, and then headed to the B&B. Sunday morning we had coffee at a cute local coffee shop in St. Helena and then had breakfast with the other guests at the B&B. After breakfast we checked out the shops down Main Street. So adorable!! Next was the wine tour. We had so much fun! We went to four different wineries/vineyards with 6 other people ( 1 married couple, 1 engaged couple, and two friends). We all clicked right away and had a great time! All the wineries we visited were pretty small, locally owned and operated. We really enjoyed tasting all the different wines, learning how each is made and stored. I can't wait to go back someday! Monday morning we drove back to San Francisco, driving back over the Golden Gate Bridge (so much fun!!). We flew down to Florida, where we met up with my parents, Rachel, Branton and baby Davis. We had fun laying out at the pool and beach and playing with the boys. Wedneday night, Kim came in. She had just gotten engaged about a month prior so we got to congratulate her in person and see the ring. It is just beatiful and exactly what she wanted! And we love Justin and are very excited about the upcoming wedding (September 2014) and the addition to the family. We had such a fun week celebrating our anniversary, seeing new parts of the country and hanging out with family!!! (There are a ton of pictures, sorry. I thought I had it figured out to post them all backwards on here and they would display in chronological order if I did it like that, but not this time. So sorry, it goes from the end of our trip to the beginning)
